WESTBURY, NY — August 14, 2020 — BioIVT, a leading provider of research models and services for drug and diagnostic development, today announced that it is now offering same- or next-day delivery of fresh blood and immune cell products from its seven blood donor centers, which are strategically located near biopharma hubs in the US and UK, to almost anywhere in the world.

“We are always looking for new ways to help our clients to optimize their cell and gene therapy, drug and in vitro diagnostic research. Delivering high quality, fresh blood and immune cell products within hours of collection is another value-added service that we are offering,” said Jeff Widdoss, vice president of donor center operations at BioIVT.

“BioIVT employs fresh biofluids and rapid immune cell isolation procedures so that our clients can be confident that they will always have reliable, high cell yields and good downstream results. We also offer traditional and mobilized leukopaks tailored to meet specific custom requirements or protocol needs,” he added.

Leukopaks contain concentrated white blood cells and are used for cell and gene therapy development, assay and methodology validation, and training and process improvements. Leukopaks provide high-purity peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from a single donor and constitute a critical element in many R&D workflows.

These new services were described further in a BioIVT webinar entitled “When Your Research Won’t Wait—Fresh Blood and Cell Solutions to Elevate Your Research Development,” at 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday, August 19. During this session, BioIVT Immune Cells Specialist Susan LaFlamme discussed leukopak applications, describe why it’s important to have standardized immune cell isolation procedures, and outline custom collection options.
